Mega Blood Moon- Whats the Deal?
What is?
Mega Blood Moon opens the doors to any filmmaker itching to create- emphasizing fun, absurdity, and reckless abandon.
There are only 4 rules to any Mega Blood Moon movie:
- The movie is between 70-90 minutes
- You only get one draft for your script- the minute you type "the end", your script is done.
- The moon must explode at some point in the movie.
- The budget you have is whatever is in your pockets, so write accordingly.
- Don't take it too seriously.
It's meant for anyone and everyone to join in and be a part of the lunacy, because-

Who are?
It started in 2020, at 2AM on a stretch of desert highway outside of the Salton Sea, California- during the Super Moon. Two idiots were joking on that drive, coming up with names for b-horror movies to pass the time.
But as time passed, those ideas kept coming back.
The brainchild of Ben Floss, Anthony Del Monte, and Bill Schell, it started as a writing exercise during the pandemic in 2021. The hope was to write the dumbest horror movie as quickly as possible, or to get people writing and take their Mega Blood Moon idea and turn it into something outside of the Mega Blood Moon project.
As more and more of their friends got involved, and more and more scripts written, the idea to start filming them for no budget became a reality.
Our goal is simple:
Get creating. Get writing. Get filming. Be silly. Have Fun.
